CORE's Theory of Change

CORES Promise

We explore and cultivate core practices for social transformation to heal ourselves, our communities and the world.

This promise is the foundation and guiding focal point, for the work that core does. Click here  to learn more about the intention behind the promise.

( The "Click Here" tab will take folks to the values of CORE which further gives context to the promise.)

CORE Practices

We carry our promise forward through CORE’s “core practice” of convening – bringing people together.

Currently CORE practices convening through circle practice
'we believe that careful dialogue, with a question or intention in the center, agreements for speaking and listening at the rim, and a light social structure for leadership can create 'social transformation to heal ourselves, our communities and the world' - The circle way

Why is  "circle" CORE's Core practice ?

Circles are an ancient practice that has developed in the west as a formal way to bring people together.

CORE was inspired from both the traditional practice and the formal adaptation to create a unique model that has foundational cornerstones, but also room for flexibility to adapt to the culture of the group.

CORE believes that circle overs the opportunity to reflect, building relationships, and share other transformational practices for individual and collective healing.

Using personal testimonoes would be an asset because it would 1. Evaluation tool

2. Accountability tool. For those that have powerful feedback we can ask them send a pic to publicly share the impact it had on them. And send them a thank you for allowing us to promote our work through their experience.
  • Facilitators- Ask facilitators to give a brief description on how their practice relates to CORE's Promise.
    • Holds them accountable for knowing it
    • Holds CORE accountable for sharing it
    • Makes them all responsible for being aware.
  • Facilitators are responsible for knowing it, because Core shared it , and Core is responsible for sharing it, so facilitators know it.
  • Giving facilitators an evaluation of CORE

  • You say you want to change the world, but what is it, in the world, that you want to change?
  • Fundraise!!!!!! Make it feel good
  • Do it for your CORE Network

CORE: Circle of Transformational Practice

CORE currently runs a monthly circle called Circle of Transformational Practice (CTP), that meets on the 2nd Friday of the month, at the central library from 9:30- 11:30

CORE is using the wealth of information that has been birthed by our circle facilators and participants, to embody our promise through practical application. To learn more about the transformation that has happened through CTP click here

In commitment to our promise, CORE is in the process of expanding opportunities to convene with circle practice in ways that are more diverse, inclusive and accessible.
(The click here tab will lead folks to the vault of transformational practices.

This will be a powerful page for CORE because it will essential be the resource page for not only the CORE community, but the community at large.

Its a value to facilitates because its a promotional opportunity

its value to the CORE Circle community is that they have an opportunity to publicly share how CTP has supported transformation in their life. (through stories/ testimonials)

its value to the greater community will be the access to not only gather a better understanding for what a transformational practice is, but also access to begin to connect with individuals who can support that transformation within themselves, which will impact the greater good.)
